John A. Magnuson Bio: college degree in economics and political science, graduate study in business administration.  He began his career in the food industry selling major national brands for one of the industries largest producers.  After moving to the wine industry, he held positions in sales, sales management, divisional sales management, national consumer promotions management and director of national account sales.

He founded Global in 1989 as a wine consulting business with Delta Airlines and Marriott Hotels as his largest clients.  He also specialized as a wine brokerage before turning Global into Global Specialty Foods in 1994.
